Feeding
The importance, necessity, or harm to your pet. Let's break it down further...
Beef Kidneys
For dog owners of all time, the composition of their beloved pet's food has always been and will remain a significant concern.

We've often discussed a dog's digestive system, designed for beneficial protein nutrition, raw meat, and by-products.

Let's look at beef kidneys' content, beneficial properties, and potential harm and find the answer to the question: Should beef kidneys be added to your pet's diet?

Beef kidneys contain:

  • Vitamins of the B group - B1, B2, and B9 improve metabolism and nervous system function.
  • Selenium, a component of many enzymes, improves thyroid gland function.
  • Vitamins A, D, E, and PP
  • Ascorbic acid
  • Calcium
  • Magnesium
  • Sodium
  • Zinc
  • Cobalt
  • Iodine
  • Copper
  • Phosphorus
  • Potassium

Considering the above, it's clear that by including beef kidneys in your pet's regular diet, you can significantly enhance the body's defense mechanisms and improve the cardiovascular system and metabolism.

In what form should you provide them?

The content of kidneys in the daily diet should not exceed 10% of the daily food allowance or be fed 2-3 times a week.

Can they be given raw?

We strongly recommend raw feeding. Specifically, kidneys can be given basic without any concerns. The thermal treatment significantly destroys many vitamins.

Harmful properties

In general, by-products are well absorbed without any side effects. But if your pet experiences vomiting or diarrhea, you should exclude the product from their diet until the crisis is resolved. The causes can vary, from whether you previously fed your dog with this by-product to individual intolerance. It's not necessarily that these symptoms are caused by consuming beef kidneys, but you should exclude them from the diet during the crisis period.
This is another reason we don't grind the food for our beloved pets into minced meat. In our sets, all products are cut into pieces; if necessary, you can easily remove a particular product.
